Harry Julian has 46 years’ experience in the nuclear industry. Immediately after the accident at Three Mile Island, Mr. Julian helped develop the new and improved Emergency Response Guidelines that introduced new concepts, such as Critical Safety Function Monitoring and two-column, dual-level format, along with greatly improved accident recovery strategies. He has significant experience in the development of Accident Management Procedures, including AOPs, EOPs, and SAMGs. His company, Volian Enterprises, specializes in nuclear plant procedure maintenance software and services. Volian Enterprises software product, PROMS, is used at 17 nuclear plant sites to improve and efficiently maintain procedures. Harry holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida, M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Pittsburgh. Harry founded Volian Enterprises in 1984 after ten years’ experience in the Nuclear Safety Department at Westinghouse. His company, Volian Enterprises, provides comprehensive support services for procedure upgrades and its software product is the leading procedure maintenance system in the nuclear industry.
